What we process when you vote

• The question, your choice, the date and time of the vote.
• An approximate country, derived from your IP address at the moment you vote. We do not request GPS or browser location.
• A pseudonymous voter token: a keyed hash of your IP address and browser user-agent. It exists only to stop the same device voting repeatedly. It cannot be reversed to your IP, and it is deleted from our database after 30 days; the vote itself stays, anonymised.

Your raw IP address is never written to our database. The web server's access log is configured without IP addresses. Error logs may briefly contain IP addresses and are rotated automatically.

Legal bases

Voting integrity and aggregate statistics: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Optional on-device storage: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw any time via “Cookie settings”.

Sharing

We do not sell data and do not use advertising or third-party trackers. Hosting providers act as processors.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection, and may complain to your supervisory authority. Because votes are anonymous after 30 days, we may be unable to identify specific records; contact us and we will help where possible.
